Strawberry Chia Smoothie

A smoothie is an easy way to enjoy a meal or snack.  While this recipe shows strawberries as the main ingredient, you can substitute any berry, or add other ingredients such as kale or spinach! Blend away, my friends!

 

|| Ingredients ||

 

1 to 1 1/2 cups strawberries, frozen

1 Cup Almond Milk or other non-dairy milk

2 teaspoons chia seeds

Optional but Delicious: 1-2 Tablespoons Honey Greek Yogurt or non-dairy Yogurt (gives is a bit more sweetness and tones down any under-ripe strawberries)

Put ingredients in a blender, beginning with the liquid.

Blend on high, if using a Vitamix use the tool that helps smash the frozen berries down.

Pour into a glass; enjoy your smoothie!
